After The Fall
Orientation
Transformation, as I understand it, is composed of two great movements: the Road from Ruin, that delivers us from the fires of our circumstances, and the Path to Progress, from where we then stand after the crisis is contained at true ground zero, to up and above the noise of these worlds, in order to secure our ambitions.
Ad Astra...
The first is the journey out of what has broken us and asks how Man escapes the life that has consumed his agency. We must regain control before progress is possible.
A purging of all corruption and a ReForging of the soul... A rewriting of one's mental code, and a shattering of all fabrications as we break formation from false gods. These are all works which are required of us if we have been laid low by the circumstances of our lives.
Then is the journey toward what we have chosen to become, when we are asked what Man does with his reclaimed agency once he has wrestled back control from the Sleep of The Mind. Lest we should fall again to darkness, we must ensure that we understand and are aware of our actions as we build The Way Forward from obscurity.
This is how Man begins to effect change upon the landscapes of his own life and the worlds around him, and how we root out and defeat the darkness of the day.
Escape without direction will only leave us wandering still in obscurity, and ambition without reconstruction will make us to carry the same infected operating software and corrupted code into the next level of our becoming.
We must first become capable of leaving darkness and regaining control over our lives, then we must become capable of stepping into and maintaining stability as we then work in service to our ambitions.
The Route from Ruin
“How do I leave this place of pain I'm trapped within?”
When we are laid low and fall from where we were to places of limbo, the Route from Ruin is the means of escape that you create from that obscurity.
Your route from ruin is the extraction from the darkness, stabilization over the forces of Chaos and Apathy, and overall reconstruction despite the will of Modernia's Machines.
Starting fresh, in becoming ReForged and reoriented on what it takes to succeed in all things.
Ruin may be psychological, appearing through the erosion of our perceived control over our lives. It may be financial, professional, relational, existential, or any other combination of unfortunate circumstances during our Shared Crisis Era.
The route itself is physically cobbled from the remains of what came before.
Man must learn to harvest lessons from his defeats. In this he then discovers that what appeared to be failure if the past was often only a setback, from which, something may still be learned. Through understanding, each setback becomes another stepping stone upon which the route may be laid bare for travel.
There are days which must happen to you
Blood will be shed and more challenges will present themselves, but this pain too is required to make progress possible. There will be tears as well, but the stones must nevertheless be laid. This is both necessary penance for what came before and it is required offering to your future Prime Self. You owe You the work which was not done.
build or break; pay or perish
The first deliberate construction of a new life is the foundation upon which all else is built.
To escape darkness and regain agency, Man must use his awareness to rebuild his identity after the fall, and ask himself:
“What must I do to stop losing ground and become capable of moving again?”
Only then can we begin the journey from, sometimes below, Hell to Ground Zero, entering The Chrysalis and submitting ourselves to the work of transformation.
The Path to Progress
"Where am I going now that I stand freed?"
What got you here, got you here.
We were blessed with challenges, blessed to bleed, and blessed to overcome them. But what carried us out of the darkness will not carry us toward the life we desire.
The man who escapes ruin must now become capable of sustaining freedom.
You must build the person you are required to become, or be broken beneath the weight of the same chains that once enslaved and first helped bring you into darkness.
The Path to Progress is then the journey of advancement onward to new levels while training mastery of new skills, and we are called to grow in order build our expansion into a life desired and intentionally designed.
After the immediate emergency has been contained and some order has been restored to the landscape of our lives, it becomes dangerously easy to fall back into the cycles that made us worship false gods, partake in the sins of Modernia, and become prey to what stalks the darkness of the day.
We forget the scars upon our souls and return to the person we were.
This is why escape from Chaos cannot be the only, nor final objective.
When we take Crusade to resist Apathy and make the commitment to Campaign against the Chaos that threatens us, we are called then to do the work which is required to adhere to the Prime Mandate:
In measuring all actions against the highest and most realized version of ourselves, that we may guide our actions and thoughts accordingly and guard ourselves from ever again straying from the ambitions we once abandoned.
End
The journey does not end when Man escapes the ruins, nor does it end when he reaches the first summit. There will always be another wall to climb or another darkness to face, just over the horizon.
Eventually, however, the work ceases to be solely about surviving our own lives as we take what was learned in the darkness and trained through struggle, and learn to turn these lessons outward.
Man becomes an Agent of Change, exerting his will over the landscape of his life, and a beacon of light for others still searching for a way out of obscurity.
The Route from Ruin gets us out
The Path to Progress takes us forward
And eventually, if we remain true to the Work, we become capable of showing others the Way Forward during this War of Wills as well.
